Introduction To Our Religious Education Programs
Welcome to First Parish of Watertown's Religious Education program. First Parish of Watertown is a Unitarian Universalist congregation that was first established in 1630. Although much has changed since then, one thing that remains the same is our steadfast belief in the inherent right to freedom for every person in all matters regarding religion. Because we want both children and adults to embrace our open-minded heritage, we believe that religious education is a lifelong process. We offer many programs for children and adults and you will find that information in this prospectus. The program descriptions may tell you about our philosophy and our intentions, but our guiding belief is that people learn as much or more from their relationships and their surroundings as they do from any curricula. What is most important to our growth as individuals is how well we connect with one another in a community of worship and fellowship.. Please feel free to speak to our Director of Religious Education and our minister about your specific religious education hopes and dreams. May this liberal church be a warm and welcoming religious home for your entire family.
