Celebrate Haiti Night on May 15, 2010

First Parish is Celebrating Haiti on Saturday May 15th. ***Dinner at 6pm*** ***Jazz Concert at 8pm***

Dinner is for First Parish members and friends (ONLY). The Haitian food will be prepared by our Youth Group. Cost:"Pass the Hat" donation. (Remember: dinner starts at 6pm)

After Dinner members of the Matenwa Community Learning Center will talk about their ongoing work since the earthquake.

Concert is for First Parish members and friends AS WELL AS FOR THE LARGER COMMUNITY. Ernst St. Cine and his Misty Blue Jazz Quintet will perform. Suggested donation for the concert $10-$20. (Remember: concert starts at 8pm)
Concert tickets will be available after church service 5/2 and 5/9 and 'at the door'.
Please try and join us to make this celebratory evening a success.

Rummage Sale is Coming on May 1, 2010

Rummage Sale Coming Up

Please begin to collect things to contribute to the Rummage Sale on Saturday, May 1.  We are looking for books, records, audio and video tapes, DVD’s, children’s clothes, linens and white goods, kitchen and household items, small electronics and appliances (in working order), arts and crafts, bric-a-brac, sporting goods, toys and games, small furniture, etc. etc.   Drop off times are Friday evening, April 30 from 6-9 pm and Saturday morning May 1 from 8 – 10 a.m.  We also need help setting up, selling, and cleaning up.  See Jane Knuttunen or Sue Kuder if you can help, or with questions.

Then don't forget to come and buy on the day of the sale! There are always great bargains on items. The Rummage Sale will be open on Saturday, May 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
