Monthly Charitable Offerings Schedule
In fiscal year 2006-07, the First Parish began a new program of monthly offerings to benefit local, national and international organizations. This means that on a designated Sunday every month (usually the third Sunday), all the loose offering and checks made out to the designated organization will be given to that organization. Let these monthly offerings be a sign of our generosity as a congregation
Schedule for 2007-08
September 29 - Solutions at Work - homelessness
October 21 - REACH (formerly the Support Committee for Battered Women) - domestic violence
November 18 - Grow Clinic Food Pantry at Boston Medical Center - high protein foods for children with developmental problems
December 24 - Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (offering and Guest at Your Table Program) - human rights, international development and relief
January 21 - Liz Walker's Journey Productions - to support the work of Liz Walker and Gloria White-Hammond to build a school for girls in the village of Akon in the Sudan. This is a school for girls who are victims of the genocide in the Darfur region of the Sudan.
February 17 - Watertown Food Pantry - local pantry at St. John's Methodist
March - No offering - Easter
April - UU Ministry for Earth
May - UUSC-UUA Cyclone Nargis Relief Fund
