Members and Friends are reminded to use reusable shopping bags when you go to the store. In the fall when regular services resume, members will once again have an opportunity to purchase canvass bags for your grocery shopping. These bags have a drawing of First Parish and identify us as a "Green Sanctuary." Let's help stem the tide of plastic shopping bags that clog our landfills.

On Tuesday, July 31, 2007 fifty-nine members of the parish voted unanimously to sponsor four Obyat children in their efforts to gain humanitarian parole status so that they might come to the United States to be with their parents while their brother Abood is given needed medical care.
